Service
Aim: The aim of the Service Section is to learn how to give useful service to others.
Requirement: The requirement is to undertake the necessary training and give regular practical service for at least:
Bronze: 15 hours spread over a period of three months

Adventurous Journey
Aim: The purpose of this section is to encourage a spirit of adventure and discovery.
Requirement: The requirement for this section is to plan, train for and undertake a venture. The venture must involve a defined purpose. The venture must involve travel by personal effort and may be on foot, cycle or on water.
Bronze: Two days out, including one night in an unfamiliar setting, including at least 12 hours of effort and activity

Nemesiz: Sec 2 ATC (Completed)
3 Days out2 Nights in unfamiliar settingDay 1 (8 hrs) + Day 2 (16 hours) + Day 3 (4 hrs) = 28 hrs

Skills
Aim: The purpose of this section is to encourage the development of personal interests and practical skills.
Requirement: Participants are required to choose a skill and follow it regularly for the minimum required period of time. They must show individual progress and sustained interest, based on their own capabilities and potential.

Proposed Sec 3 Training and Potential Training Syllabus

Potential Training:
1. What do we do for potential training?
2. What do we want to do for potential training?
3. What are we going to do to move from NYAA Bronze to NYAA Silver?

Nemesiz Squard Training Timeline & Overview:
Term1:
1. to focus on Potential Trainings on Thurs
2. to focus on routine parades & NPDP Trainings (for those involved)

Term 2:
1. to focus on training Sec 1s and Sec 2s for ROD parade
2. to focus on routine parades & NPDP Trainings (for those involved)
3. to focus on NYAA (Silver)

Term 3:
1. ROD parade by end July 2007.

Potential Training Syllabus:
Core Competencies: Leadership, Skills, & Physical
  • Leadership module (Week 5 & 8)
    • Managing Self, Managing Others, Managing Resources
    • Managing Events: SOPs of Planning, Implementing, Reviewing Events
  • Skills module (Week 6 & 9)
    • Essential Drills: parade format, drill commands and methods of instruction
    • Essential Campcraft: Knots and lashings for ATCs & UTCs
  • Physical Training module (Week 7 & 10)
    • Building physical fitness
    • Planning & conducting innovative games & outdoor activities
  • NCOs Training Camp (Week 11)
1. CIs/NCOs to train potentials on the above modules.
2. NCOs to conduct Training Camp using materials from SpiritMakers' Workshop.

Unit T-Shirt

Dear Sec 3s:
Please help to create a design for our unit t-shirt. You can draw your design on a foolscap. The t-shirt will be a black-based polo tee and your design should be VSNPCC based. Your design should not include any vugluarities and obscene items. Hand in your design this coming parade. It is compulsory for everyone. Top ten designs will be chosen by the NCOs and the final design of the shirt will be chosen by whole unit. Do your best to fight for the final design.

Those who performed traffic marshal duties for 130th Anniversary Gala Dinner, hosted cadets on Inter-area Project Day and were present for 25 Nov Flag Day will have 15 hours already.
