Theme
This year’s theme is “Jurassic Park”. Cadets are required to build a structure using any recycling materials used in their daily life.eg Dinosaur etc.

Requirements
§ Each unit is to send 4 cadets to form a team.(inclusive of 1 reserve)
§ Only a maximum of 2 teams are allowed to represent each unit.
§ The allocated time given to build the structure is 1 hour.

§ Each group must prepare a sketch or picture of the structure in A4 size paper (can be from internet or books)
§ The structure must be a replica of the sketch or picture, which the team has brought.
§ The height or length of the structure must be at least 1 meter tall or wide.

Rules and Regulations
§ None of the materials will be provided by us. Participants are to bring their own recycling materials, cutting and pasting items.
§ None of the recycling materials brought in for the competition could be prepared in advance. Items done in advance will be confiscated.
§ Only recyclable materials can be used for decorations. Spray cans are not allowed. Non-recyclable materials will be confiscated.
§ The decisions made by the judges are final.

Procedures

UOPA GOLD AWARD 2007

As announced by Principal, Victoria School NPCC Unit has been awarded the Unit Overall Proficiency GOLD Award for 2007. This is also our 8th consecutive GOLD Award since year 2000! This achievement is by no means, an easy feat. Only 2 NPCC Units have obtained 12 GOLD Awards consecutively. Only VS and 1 other Girls' School have obtained 8 consecutive GOLD Awards, making VS one of the top four NPCC Units nationwide. This is again, by no means, an easy feat. This result is achievable only because each and everyone of you, a Victorian NPCC cadet, puts in 100% of commitment, dedication and hardwork in all training sessions at Unit or at HQ. Your 100% attendance at all training sessions, visits, courses, CIPs, marshal duties and shooting sessions is a very crucial and key factor in the winning of the GOLD Award.

Hence, in future, if anyone in the Unit you know, is trying to skip any NPCC training, get a group of cadets to encourage him not to skip training and to participate actively. Use peer pressure to influence him to change his poor attitude towards NPCC.

IN ORDER FOR VICTORIA SCHOOL NPCC UNIT TO ACHIEVE 10 CONSECUTIVE GOLD AWARDS TO WIN THE GOLD DRILL CANE, VSNPCC WILL NOT TOLERATE ANY CADET WITH POOR ATTITUDE AND POOR ATTENDANCE! DEFAULTERS WILL BE SEVERELY DEALT WITH!

Finally, from the Principal, Vice Principals and the School Management, the School recognises the efforts and hardwork put in by all NPCC cadets, ex-cadets, CIs, ex-CIs, HOs of Victoria School. The School pledges full support for the NPCC Unit in our remaining 2 years to achieve the Gold Drill Cane!

REMEMBER, VICTORIA SCHOOL IS ALWAYS SOMETHING MORE...
